Nepal
Nepal, a landlocked country between India and China, lies along the southern slopes of the Himalayan mountain ranges. It features a diverse geography, ranging from fertile plains and subalpine forested hills to eight of the world's ten tallest mountains—including Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth. Nepal is also a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious, and multi-cultural society. In the middle of the first millennium BC, Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, was born in Lumbini in southern Nepal.

Kathmandu
Kathmandu, founded in the 2nd century CE, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Historically, the Kathmandu Valley was known as the "Nepal Mandala" and has long been the home of the Newar people, who established a cosmopolitan urban civilization in the Himalayan foothills. As the capital of Nepal, the city is home to palaces, mansions, and gardens.
Tribhuvan University
Tribhuvan University, established in 1959, is the oldest public university in Nepal. Located in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, it is also the 12th largest university in the world by enrollment. It offers over 1,000 undergraduate and 500 postgraduate programs across a wide range of disciplines.
